ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
FRESHMEN
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN INDUSTRIAL
TECHNOLOGY (BSIT)
83 % and above General Average
82% and above in Mathematics,
Science and English DIPLOMA IN
INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY 80 % and above General Average
80% and above in Mathematics, Science and English TRANSFER STUDENTS
1.
The following rules shall govern
the admission of transfer students:
a.
He must have obtained an average
grade of at least “2.50” or its equivalent for all the academic units earned
outside of this college.
b.
He shall complete in this college
no less than 50% of the units required of his course.
c.
The quota set by the Dean of the
School for the course to which he seeks admission has not been filled up.
d.
An admitted transfer students must
validate all the course he is offering or subject for evaluation by the chairman
concern before he is required to enroll the course.
e.
Any or all of the above rules may
be set aside in exceptional cases upon the recommendation of the Dean.
REGISTRATION
A.
GENERAL REGISTRATION A student shall register in any course/subject during the dates specified in the College calendar. A student who registers beyond the regular registration period shall pay the late registration fee.
A late registrant shall be admitted within two weeks only after the opening of
classes provided that he presents justifiable reasons for late registration and
his admission is recommended by the Dean and approved by the College President
of his duly authorized representative.
B.
CROSS REGISTRATION A student from another institution shall be allowed to cross-register with SLPC upon the approval of the Dean concerned and upon presentation of the permit form the Registrar which shall state the subjects and units in which he is registered and the subjects and units he is authorized to cross register. Likewise, a student from SLPC shall be allowed to cross cross-register with another institution provided that he secures a permit form the Registrar upon the recommendation of the Dean concerned.
A student
from a school within the College shall be allowed to cross-register with another
school provided that he is recommended by the Dean of his school and will be
accepted by the Dean of the other school.
RETENTION
A student who are enrolled / residence in the School of Industrial Technology is
governed by the following rules:
1.
Students who are admitted in the
school and who obtained semestral weighted average of 5.00 shall not be
readmitted the succeeding semesters.
Those who obtained failing grades in at least 15 units of technology course in a
semester shall not be readmitted in the succeeding semesters.
Those
who obtained semestral-weighted average from 3.51-4.00 shall be place on
probation. Those who obtained average within the above range for the second
time succession shall not be readmitted in the succeeding semester.
2.
Any student placed on probation
shall not be allowed to enroll in more than 18 units of subject load.
3.
Student whose subjects extended to
three or more curriculum years shall not be allowed to enroll in more than 18
units of subject load.
4.
Student who dropped;
indiscriminately and or cancelled their enrollment for two or more semester
shall not be allowed to take more than 18 units of subject load. 5. No student shall be admitted into the third year proper unless he completed all the basic course in the first and second years including PE and ROTC. |
